They were never traditional visits. On the surface, I would show up
just like any other customer getting their fortune told. But much more happened than vague
predictions about the future, or disguised
attempts at therapy.
Real things were happening.
Whatever
problems I was having in the world, the tower was giving me real tools to deal with them. Sometimes in magic. Sometimes with solid artifacts I could take with me. Sometimes with enchantments or even skills in combat.
The tower covered a wide range of help, but
I didn't question how they got everything they had. I was afraid of ruining a good thing.
