An
anime-dubbing and releasing studio founded by "anime antichrist"
Carl Macek. Until it decided to retire from the anime business, Streamline held the license to some of anime's more popular titles, including
Megazone 23 Parts 1 and 2,
Robot Carnival,
Golgo 13: The Professional,
Lensman,
Vampire Hunter D, and others. Streamline was partnered for a time with
Orion Home Video.
At its height, Streamline's name came to be used as a verb...an anime that had been given the Macek dub treatment was said to have been "Streamlined" (or "Macekered").
