In
1987, the Seven-Up Company introduced two new
sodas to the market. The
uncola campaign was successful among older
demographics, but everyone knows soda consumption is highest among younger audiences, for whom a lack of
caffeine isn't necessarily a draw. Following
Coca-Cola's latest
invention, artificial
cherry flavoring was added to regular 7up and voilĂ ! Cherry 7up (and Diet Cherry 7up) is born!
Cherry 7up is light pink in color and surprisingly less sweet than the original. It is a favorite of creative drink-mixers and sick college students everywhere.
