A rare moment of
humor from the largely unfunny run of
Saturday Night Live in the very early
1980s. The sketch was about the gradual acceptance of gays in the
military and how that might be accomplished. At the end, cast member
Charles Rocket performed a marching drill while shouting this "gay-friendly"
cadence:
I'm in the Army, and I'm gay
That don't mean I swish and sway
I won't go down on anyone
Uncle Sam is the only one
If you don't find this humorous, try hollering it sometime when you're walking down the street. See? Funny!
