Better known sometimes as
baking chocolate, cooking
chocolate is probably the worst thing for a sugar fix, seeing as how it's primarily
unsweetened (except for the
dark chocolate variety) and used for (surprise!) baking:
brownies,
icing,
cakes, etc. Most recipies that call for it usually require a specific sort of
sugar to be added, usually
granulated white, sometimes
powdered, rarely
brown.
It keeps very well and yes, is very tantalizing to the unknowing child who only sees the word "chocolate" and the bright shiny wrapping.
