1939 movie directed by
Howard Hawks and starring
Cary Grant,
Jean Arthur, and
Rita Hayworth, in which Grant plays a rough-edged yet
dashing American
pilot who flies mail over a dangerous mountain pass in
South America.
Doesn't that totally sound like a must-see? So why then must this film suck? In spite of a glimmer of goodness here and there this picture is mostly aimless and bad. Characters behave in weird, off-putting ways. The dialogue is stilted. The plot takes several head-spinning turns that defy what has gone before.
However good Cary Grant looks in his leather bomber jacket on the video box, pass this by.
