I tend to use the word "gorgeous" when trying to decribe the band's unique sound. It is so blisteringy loud yet so subtle in its melodies...

The music shines in its clarity one moment, and then descends into chaos the next...Steve Von Till's graceful voice, meshed with Scott Kelly's primal, guttural, terrifying scream and Dave Edwardson's scream, become a wall of voice that seems to be coming out of you.

The music, usually slow, skims the surface of thought and unearths emotions that flow like the vibrations on a guitar string...

I couldn't find them in a store once. Asked the counter guy, he said they were in punk. At the time I did not know they started as a punk band, we got to talking, and he said something which stuck to me: "We don't have a 'hard to describe' section." Neurosis is hard to describe, and just like Everything, you have to see/hear/feel it to begin to understand.
