Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer (GIFT)
A technique used to improve the chances of a woman becoming
pregnant in the case of
infertility. Several
egg cells, stimulated to mature simultaneously with
fertility drugs, are removed from the woman's
ovary, mixed with her husbands
sperm, and inserted into one of her
Fallopian tubes, where
fertilization can occur.
