Quasi-cool oversized
index cards filled with facts about
animals sold through a 1980's
commercial ending with a
toll-free number. The
Wildlife Treasury sent you a large stack of cards and a colorful plastic container to hold them all in when you first called. Each month new cards arrived, always at the low, low price. You could keep the ones you wanted, and cancel anytime.
Despite the fact that these fact cards were pretty cool, the pathetic loser of a kid in the commercial who begged his mother for the Wildlife Treasury and excitedly shouted things like "The duck-billed platypus has feet like a duck, but its furry!" ruined any hope of selling them to anyone with a modicum of coolness.
