Texas Christian University is a
private university in
Fort Worth,
Texas. It was started as the
Addran Male and Female Academy in 1873 by
Addison Clark and
Randolph Clark. TCU's colors are
purple and
white and their
mascot is the
horned toad. It was originally part of the
Christian Church which is now the
Disciples of Christ and doesn't play and active role in the school.
TCU is locally known as a country club for business majors from wealthy families. They have decent liberal arts programs but are considered sub-par in their science disciplines.
