"Sad", the game
The equipment for playing Sad
1. An item, large but lightweight, e.g. a sheet of
notebook paper or a
plastic bag.
2. A number of people
greater than
zero, but small enough that they can fit into an area where they can all play the game.
How To Play Sad
The people congregate, and one person throws the item into the air. The peoples' task is to keep the item airborne, whenever it is near them, typically by
striking it or
batting at it with the hands. The first person to fail to keep the item airborne is "
sad".
Alternate scoring
By some people's reckoning, all participants in the game are "
sad".
