Diceros Bicornis
A massive, three-toed
mammal that lives on the Great Plains of
Africa. Extremely
endangered. Unlike other rhinocerouses, the Black Rhino has two horns, a large, frontal horn, and a sceond, much less developed horn immediately behind it.
Less than 500 of these creatures exist on the entire
Earth. They are in short supply due to poaching. The rhino's horn is considered extremely
valuable by hunters. In truth, it is just a very large deposit of
keratin, which is found in abundnace in the hair of any creature.
These beasts eat roots and other plants that they forage for with their horns. Without their horns, the rhino will
die withing a few days because it will not be able to dig up
food.
