element, dismissing the ancient Greek view of the Four Elements.

is completed, and he throws an elaborate housewarming party attended by

Jean-Baptiste Colbert convinces Louis that Foucqet's wealth was embezzled
from the royal treasury (an assertion that is probably correct). Louis
