genetic changes that are
inheritable, that is changes that will be passed on to their offspring. Also called
Germline modification, and generally regarded as very unwise by most
scientists, given the limitations of our current knowledge. Fifteen human children have been so modified using a technique called
ooplasmic transfer. This involves taking some of the contents from a
donor cell and injecting it into the egg cell of another woman
