The Beerenberg is
Norway's only active
volcano (7,470 ft - 2,277 m).
The Volcano's last eruption was in 1985. It lead to an earthquake of magnitude 5 on the richters scale.
Volcano researchers regard it as one of the most beautiful volcanos in the world.
It is located on the arctic island of Jan Mayen and it forms the Nord-Jan, the northeastern region of the island.
