Japanese software company founded in the early
1980's. Soon began developing games for
Nintendo's
Famicom system and then becoming a large
software (AND
hardware) partner to
NEC and their unveiling of the
PC Engine game console in
1987. Hudson's still in business, and (among other things) is credited with the
creation of the character
Bomberman and countless Bomberman games, and to a lesser extent the
Adventure Island series of games, which in turn was originally developed as a Nintendo-only* version of
Sega's
Wonder Boy by
Westone, creators of both such series. No, I don't quite follow the story well either.
*Maybe not "Nintendo-only," as there was an Adventure Island game for the TG16...
