Easy and useful piece of crafting. A feature of the (New Haven) Swamp.
First, get a lot of rubber bands. Color or size irrelevant. Chain them together with larks' heads, until you get a line about three times the size you want. Do this three times.
Braid them together. Voila! You now have an African Clothesline.
Great to have while traveling, because you don't need clothespins. Just pull a bit of cloth through the line, and it will stick.
So called because it's, literally, African (though region/tribe is uncertain) and a clothesline. The only downside is that if it is made of rubber, it degrades over time, and needs redoing on a regular basis. However, it's cheap enough to merit trying.
