They stand as still as flowers in ice.
They have all been raised by prison guards.
All delivered by prison doctors.
They will all die on prison grounds
and they will be buried there as well;
no one then will call this a garden.
A prison chaplain will say a few words.
Their fellow prisoners will shovel some dirt
and those who watch through the bars on their window
understand why
this is never called prison.
