Calgary looks something like a cowboy hat when you stand away from it a distance: There is a tall part in the middle where the few skyscrapers are, and then flatness all around with a slight curve here and there. The winters often get to about -25 degrees celsius, although there are chinooks to warm things up to about -10C during deep winter. In the summer, the city hosts an international cowboy festival called The Calgary Stampede. People from all over the world compete to see who can beat cows the best.
