Actually, sodomy is fairly broadly defined to include a number of
non-reproductive sex acts. It primarily refers to things in three categories:
- Anal intercourse - committed by a man with another man or a woman
- Oral sex - committed on a man by another man or a woman
- Copulation with an animal - participants of any gender
While various combinations of men + women and men + men and people +
fauna can have
fun with sodomy,
lesbians seem to be left out in the cold on this one. Anyone hear differently?
Excepting the third category, these things have largely escaped the pejorative tone originally denoted by the term - I've seen buttons and bumper stickers proclaiming "Sodomy is fun!"
